Tinder 残り襟と前立てで終了/ Almost there!

昨日両袖のスチームブロッキングを終えて、そのまますべてのパーツを閉じました。
２本目の袖編みが長くて長くて。　週末いったい何をやっていたのでしょう・・・。

Yesterday, I finally finished knitting all the pieces includes both sleeves!
My goodness, the second sleeve took days to finish. But they're all done! yay.
After steam blocked the sleeves I started seaming right away.

初めてとじ作業をするにあたって、スチームブロッキング後の袖を乾かしている間に
YouTube先生にご指導してもらい「マットレスステッチ」の予習をしておきました。
今までなんとなく「こんな感じだろうな」という知識しか無かったのですが、やっぱり予習しておいてよかった。

Like I said, I have never done 'seaming' before so I searched some videos on YouTube and studied.
( Thank you YouTube, I would never start knitting if I don't have you, lol)
I'm so glad that I watched those videos before I started the seaming. 



 

 

とじ作業は普通に5～6時間かかりました（休み休みやったので）。　

ラグラン線上で袖と身ごろをとじるところから始まりサイドをとじて袖をとじて。

と、書くとちゃちゃっと終わらせたように感じますが本当に長かった。

すごくガタガタなので仕上げの水通しをしても良くなるかどうかも不安（泣）。

でもとじ作業が終わるといよいよもうすぐ完成だなと興奮度急上昇です。

 

The seaming took me for 5~6 hours. ( really!)

Took breaks and made cups of coffee and when I finished it it was 10 at night. (started at 4 or 5)

 

 

 

 

今朝からは襟のリブ編みを開始しています。　

襟が終わると最後は前立てを編んで完成です。　日曜にボタンを注文してあって明日あさってには

届く予定なので、本当にあと一息というところです。　　ボタンはEtsyで注文したのですが

種類が多すぎて選ぶのにかなりの時間を費やしてしまいました。　ボタン選びって難しいです。

 

This morning I started the collar ribbing. After this all I have left is the buttonband and that's it!

I ordered nice looking buttons on Etsy the other day and it's on its way. 

By the way, is it just me or it's so hard to choose the buttons on Etsy. There are thousands of choices of cute buttons and it takes forever to pick the right ones.

 

 

 

では、もう一息頑張ってきます。
